Please help us preserve the legacy that was left to the ex-servicemen of the parish in 1921 as a memorial to the fallen, a thank-offering to all those who served for the benefit and happiness of the whole parish, and was to be secured in perpetuity. There are historic trees and the proposed 50ft mast site is very close to one such tree, planted in 1923 as a living memory to soldier William Harland who lost his life in WW1 Framfield parish council are the trustees of the memorial ground and have failed in their duty to represent the parishioners and schools who have NOT been adequately consulted, due diligence has not been completed throughout the very rushed process. The school and preschool will be just 150 metres from the mast and there are many people who are VERY concerned about health issues. Of course we must not forget the impact this will have on Wildlife & Biodiversity also. We have repeatedly asked the parish council to reconsider leasing the land to the telecommunications company CTIL for 25 years and have suggested that we come together to find other fundraising avenues. Sadly they are refusing to discuss the matter any further.
