NO MAST IN OUR PAST - LEST WE FORGET

In 1923 a tree was planted (along with 32 others) as a living memory for William Harland a parishioner who did not return from WW1. The telephone mast will see this tree severely limbed to make way for this wholly inappropriate proposal. A 50 foot telephone mast will be out of keeping and desecrate our memorial ground which was given to the ex-servicemen of the parish in 1921 as a memorial to the fallen and a thank-offering to all those who served, and for the benefit and happiness of the whole parish, and was to be secured in perpetuity. We NEED to preserve and protect this beautiful ground for future generations to enjoy and to remember those who lost their lives protecting our country. Please sign and share, thank you.
