Framfield Memorial Recreation Ground was "Given by Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Easton of Thurston Hall for the benefit of all parishioners as a memorial to the fallen and a thank-offering to those who returned from service." The tree that you see in the centre of the picture is an Ash tree planted in 1923 as a living memory to William Harland. We NEED to preserve and protect this beautiful ground for future generations to enjoy and to remember those who lost their lives protecting our country.
