PETITION OPPOSING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
Proposed Liquor Store and Tasting Room
938 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida
We, the undersigned residents, business owners, and community stakeholders,
respectfully oppose the proposed Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to establish a
liquor store and tasting room at 938 W. Colonial Drive.
We believe this proposed business would negatively impact on the surrounding
community by:
• Increasing traffic congestion, illegal parking and pedestrian safety. (This area
already faces infrastructure strain, and this business will further burden local
roads and nearby businesses)
• Contributing to noise, loitering, and public disturbances (West Colonial
already experiences heavy traffic, noise, and public safety concerns)
• Negatively affecting nearby residents, families, and local businesses with
increased nuisance activity, vandalism, disorderly conduct, littering, and
police calls for service. (Presently, all these problems are constant for this
community)
• Undermining efforts to promote a safe, clean, and community-focused
corridor along West Colonial Drive
We respectfully request that the City of Orlando deny this Conditional Use Permit
application to protect the health, safety, and quality of life of the surrounding
community.
