Queremos anunciarles que desde la ONG SINTIENTES hemos introducido a fines del año 2025 en el Congreso de la Nación, el proyecto de LEY STOP TESTEO junto a la legisladora María Sotolano.
El proyecto busca prohibir la experimentación en animales en productos cosméticos, de higiene personal y limpieza en Argentina.

Según la ciencia, experimentar es completamente inaceptable en el ámbito cosmético, ya que no es necesario y causa sufrimiento evitable.
Más de 40 países ya prohibieron el testeo en animales para la industria cosmética. En Latinoamérica: Colombia, México, Chile, Brasil, Ecuador y Guatemala dieron este paso.
Hoy existen alternativas sin animales, como cultivos celulares, pieles artificiales y órganos en chip.

La campaña STOP TESTEO comenzó en el año 2019 con el apoyo masivo de la ciudadanía. Liz Solari encabezó la campaña junto con la ONG Alfa Animalista apoyándose en un proyecto de ley para prohibir el testeo en animales (introducido por la legisladora Magdalena Odarda), el cual cayó ante la falta de tratamiento.
7 años después, SINTIENTES retoma esta misión colectiva y exigimos a los tomadores de desiciones que lo pongan en tratamiento y lo aprueben.

We want to announce that, at the end of 2025, the NGO SINTIENTES introduced LEY STOP TESTEO in the Argentine Congress, together with legislator María Sotolano.
The bill seeks to ban animal testing for cosmetics, personal care, and cleaning products in Argentina.

According to science, animal testing is completely unacceptable in the cosmetics field, as it is unnecessary and causes avoidable suffering.
More than 40 countries have already banned animal testing in the cosmetics industry. In Latin America, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, and Guatemala have taken this step.
Nowadays, there are animal-free alternatives, such as cell cultures, artificial skin, and organs-on-chips.

The STOP TESTEO campaign began in 2019 with massive public support. Liz Solari led the campaign with the NGO Alfa Animalista, based on a bill introduced by legislator Magdalena Odarda to ban animal testing, which ultimately failed due to a lack of legislative action.
Seven years later, SINTIENTES resumes this collective mission, and we urge decision-makers to bring it forward for debate and approval.
