NO KILLING OF JACKSON’S CHAMELEONS IN HAWAII

We, the undersigned, are against any torture, unethical experimenting, poisoning, and killing of The Jackson’s Chameleons in Hawaii.

We acknowledge that they are spreading in Hawaii, and as a species labeled as invasive, they might cause harm to local fauna, however, it was not their choice, but a negligence and mistake of humans. 

We request objective assessment of their interaction with natural Hawaiian environment; taking into consideration indigeneous flora and fauna, man induced changes, including other non-native and invasive species, and an objective, widely discussed conclusion about the possible necessity of their control and/or eradication. We require being involved and will recommend and provide world-class experts.

In case of any result of the discussions, any activities of control and/or eradication should be taken at the highest ethical level, preserving the life and rights of the animals, eliminating any cruelty and torture of the animals. We will provide suggestions of the solutions and management, and implementation of the measures.
