This week our community has been in a tug-of-war for the truth from the federal government and state officials, and on Friday, Mayor Rick Bell confirmed that DHS is shopping for an ICE facility within the city limits of Lebanon. We will not stay quiet! Here is what you can do to keep the pressure on to help stop this ICE detention center from moving into our beautiful community. 

WHAT WE KNOW: ICE IS performing due diligence on a property on 109 (Cedar Creek Lane) near East Nashville Beer Works for the only mega detention facility in the United States. This would house approximately 14 to 16,000 individuals and would be right beside Wilson Central and in close proximity to three other schools. Reports indicate that Core Civic, known for their involvement in Trousdale County’s prison, may be involved here as well. 

WHAT TO DO:

  • Share this petition with your friends and neighbors. 
  • On Tuesday, February 24th *show up* for our Town Hall, doors open at 6:30pm and the event starts at 7pm at Cumberland University's Alumni Hall at 408 S Maple St, Lebanon, TN 37087
  • On Tuesday, March, 3 at 6pm, attend the Lebanon City Council Meeting at City Hall at 200 N Castle Heights Ave, Lebanon, TN 37087
