WE THE UNDERSIGNED OBJECT TO ANY HOUSE BUILDING ON PLOT VCBB1

Due to the central nature of this site and the threat its development poses to local ecology, alongside concerns over parish council mismanagement and a lack of public accountability and consultation, we, the undersigned from Barnham Broom and surrounding villages, strongly object to SNDC proceeding with development of this site.

Numerous parcels of land were proposed for the compulsory development of the village. For reasons we can not understand this beautiful meadow with rare plants, mature trees, a Grove and a pond is the place SNDC wish to cover in concrete.

Everyone knows the issues around our rivers and sewers. Barnham Broom is no exception. Our system is full to busting, meaning Anglia water contaminate the Yare annually for 500-600 hours. Local houses have had sewage emerging into their gardens, not 100 yards from this proposed development. It makes no sense whatsoever. Bell Rd and Rush Green  has flooded every year over the last few years, both adjacent to this proposed site.

The village wishes to preserve this meadow and the character of the village,  potentially create a village green with a wildlife area, eco friendly recreational facilities benefitting the pub and the post office. We urgently seek to end this terrible 40 house building plan. Please support us.
