This petition seeks to raise awareness about the horrific sexual crimes committed against a three-year-old girl and a twelve-year-old boy by Daniel Senecal. In response to these devastating acts, we are calling for a ban on bail, probation, and parole for all child sex offenders to ensure that justice is served and children are better protected.

My 15-month-old daughter is my world. As a parent, the thought of her ever being harmed is my worst nightmare. This petition aims to protect not just her, but every child in Canada. Recently, a heartbreaking incident involving a three-year-old girl sexually abused by Daniel Senecal in Welland, Ontario, shook our community to its core. This heinous crime and countless others demand immediate action to protect our children from such predators.

Currently, the Canadian judicial system allows for bail, probation, and parole for child sex offenders. These legal options provide opportunities for offenders to potentially reoffend and harm more children. It's a risk that we, as a society, should not take. There are no second chances when it comes to the safety and innocence of our children.

Statistics reveal that the recidivism rate among sex offenders is significant, with many reoffending within a short period after release. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) reports that child sexual abuse is underreported due to fear and trauma, resulting in offenders often facing milder legal consequences than they deserve.

By completely banning bail, probation, and parole for child sex offenders in Canada, we can take a strong stand against child abuse. It will send a clear message that harming children is unacceptable and will be met with the harshest penalties. This action will serve as a powerful deterrent to potential offenders and ensure that convicted predators are kept away from our communities permanently.

I urge policymakers to consider the safety of our children as their top priority. We need to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards those who prey on the most vulnerable members of our society.
