No Fracking in North Carolina

No Fracking in North Carolina

The Issue

Fracking may pollute our water supply, cause earthquakes and lead to other unknown environmental problems.  Just look at Ohio and Wyoming and Pennsylvania, and who's next.

Honorable Sirs and Madams, if you will not allow that lady to change her vote to protect our soil and water, then put fracking on the November ballot, and let the people vote up or down on this crazy way to make oil people happy.

Using the high pressure, high temperature, water-borne chemicals, sand and other materials, fracking tries to force oil and gas out of shale rock formations.  The dangers are two terrible consequences:  fracking changes the rock formations and their stability and fracking always causes some of the oil and/or gas to spread into neighboring rocks, soils and waters -- the very sort of toxic pollution we try so hard to prevent, fracking causes.
