Dear Peace for Palm Supporters and Palm Coast Neighbors,
We are making progress in our battle against excessive airplane noise and lead pollution from flight schools at Flagler Executive Airport (KFIN). Thanks to your signatures, complaints, data collection, and attendance at meetings, our voices are being heard locally. Now, we’re connecting with national allies to amplify our efforts!
Congressman Tom Suozzi (NY) recently led a bipartisan letter (May 27, 2026) with 32 Members of Congress from the Congressional Quiet Skies Caucus. The letter demands that the FAA:
• Solicit members for the Aircraft Noise Advisory Committee (ANAC) by the end of June 2026.
• Hold the first ANAC meeting by the end of 2026.
• Hold public meetings near every airport with 10+ noise complaints in the past year.
This is a major step forward for communities like ours nationwide. Airplane noise isn’t just an annoyance — it’s a public health issue affecting sleep, stress, children’s learning, and more. suozzi.house.gov
The Aviation-Impacted Communities Alliance (AICA) — a national coalition of over 90 groups — strongly supports this letter and our kind of grassroots work. They’re pushing for real community input in FAA decisions.
Our own Representative, Rep. Randy Fine (FL-6), represents Palm Coast and Flagler County. We urge everyone to contact his office at fin.house.gov and ask him to:
• Support the Suozzi-led letter and the Quiet Skies Caucus.
• Push the FAA for faster action on ANAC and public meetings.
• Help address noise and safety issues at local airports like KFIN.
How You Can Help Right Now:
1. File complaints — Use the FAA’s ANCIR portal (ancir.faa.gov) and local channels. Consistent complaints help trigger public meetings.
2. Contact Rep. Randy Fine — Call (386) 302-0471 (Palm Coast office) or visit fine.house.gov. Mention the Suozzi letter and our local situation.
3. Join the bigger movement — Reach out to AICA at info@aviationimpactedcommunities.org or visit aviationimpactedcommunities.org.
4. Keep signing & sharing our petition at peaceforpalm.com.
5. Spread the word — Share this update and tag Rep. Fine and local officials.
Together with groups across the country, we can turn voluntary “Fly Friendly” guidelines into real accountability — mandatory procedures, fewer disruptive touch-and-goes, and protections from lead emissions.
Power in numbers! Thank you for standing up for quieter, cleaner skies over Palm Coast.
Additionaly, we would like to thank all of you that have reached out to support our local candidates. They are members of our group and are fighting for our rights every day. Please feel free to reach out to them and let your friends and neighbors know ....they need your support.
