Since F1 was taken over by Liberty Media we can see a trend where world admiration and domination weighs more than its history, it’s true fans and the widely respected tracks that made the sport big. Nowadays we can clearly state that the show and the earnings are more important than the heritage. No true fan will question a new and exiting track but the way that they are almost limitless and without any form of inspiration are thrown over the globe wherever enough money is accessible proves the sad decline of the sport. Not even the drivers have a saying in what's best. Now with yet another circuit, Spa Francorchamps, arguably one of the most iconic in the history of the sport, on the edge of disappearing we can conclude Formula 1 is losing its soul. The black and white mindset for nothing else but maximum profits will quickly do more damage than good. It's a well known business model, quite typical for that part of the world, that will leave our beloved sport empty and hollow. Now is the time to stand up and save our heritage, the beautiful tracks that not only the true fans but all the (ex) F1 drivers love. No Formula 1 without historic places like Spa Francorchamps, Monza, Monaco, Silverstone.
