Remove “Face Coverings” Mandate in City of Dubuque, Iowa
The Issue
Attn ALL Dubuque, Iowa Residents: if you are interested in signing the official city petition to end mandated face coverings, please contact us direct at UnMaskDBQ@gmail.com
We the residents of Dubuque, Iowa are demanding the following:
1. Removal of Dubuque, IA city ordinance that requires everyone within the city limits to wear a face coverings, this includes children 3+
2. Removal of mask mandate for all children & persons returning to classrooms
There is currently NO lawful basis for imposed face covering mandate and we ask it be removed immediately!
There is NO definitive research to support effectiveness of compulsory masks being used in preventing the transmission, and slowing or stopping the spread of Coronavirus or viruses like CoVID-19 according to the CDC.

We the people of Dubuque, Iowa demand the choice of wearing a mask restored! The only definitive evidence regarding compulsory face mask requirements is that moisture retention, reuse, improper use, and poor filtration may increase wearers’ risk of infection.
Experts “claim” COVID-19 can spread through the air, but the “WHO believes the science isn't definitive and more evidence is required”. furthermore, the COVID 19 virus particle size is 125 nanometers (0.125 microns); the range is 0.06 microns to .14 microns. The N95 mask filters down to 0.3 microns. So, N95 masks block few, if any virus particles.
The two potential side effects that have been acknowledged by public health authorities are:
1. wearing a face mask may give a false sense of security
2. the potential of inappropriate use, touching masks, changing single-use masks frequently or wash them regularly, correct disposal, and other management measures.
We the people Of Dubuque, Iowa are being told to wear masks without the proper training and techniques. As a result, mask are being improperly used, frequently touched, and reused in a ways that in fact increase contamination and transmission of the disease.
Other potential adverse side effects that must be consider are masks make breathing more difficult by those with certain medical conditions, such as asthma and COPD. As a result such adverse effects may in fact worsen the burden of covid-19. Other than the health concerns, there are many safety concerns that apply to children in mask and those committing crimes against such children in regard to the identification process!
