MetroHealth, Don't Demolish Historic Farnsworth House and St. Nicholas Belarusian Church!
Why this petition matters

We the undersigned members of this petition do hereby declare and recognize that MetroHealth is offering to conserve and repurpose Trinity Church. However, we oppose Cleveland City Planning Commission's approval of MetroHealth's request to demolish the adjacent Saint Nicholas Belarusian Orthodox Church and historic Farnsworth House in order to establish a temporary three acre park. Accordingly, a thorough one-year planning study must be undertaken for the full twelve acres of the proposed park space {that includes a traffic and parking study} while exploring the potential repurposing of all three buildings.
The Farnsworth House and the Saint Nicholas Belarusian Orthodox Church are listed on Preservation Ohio's 2022 Ohio's Most Endangered Historic Sites. Let's fight for a bright future for these historic buildings which occupy only 4% of MetroHealth's proposed twelve acre park.
