Todos recordamos la emoción de entrar en una tienda, elegir ese juego que llevábamos meses esperando, llegar a casa, abrir la caja por primera vez, admirar su carátula, sostener el disco entre las manos y sentir que, por fin, era nuestro.

Eso no era solo comprar un videojuego. Era crear un recuerdo.

El formato físico nos ha permitido coleccionar nuestras aventuras favoritas, llenar estanterías con historias que forman parte de nuestra vida, prestar un juego a un hermano o a un amigo, regalarlo, venderlo cuando ya no lo necesitábamos o volver a jugarlo años después.

Con el formato exclusivamente digital, todo eso desaparece.

Ya no podrás prestar ese juego que tanto te marcó. Ya no podrás revenderlo para ayudar a comprar el siguiente. Ya no tendrás una colección que mirar con orgullo. Dependerás únicamente de una licencia digital que puede cambiar con el tiempo.

Los videojuegos son cultura. Son historia. Y la historia merece conservarse.

No estamos en contra del formato digital. Debe existir para quien lo prefiera.

Lo que pedimos es algo mucho más sencillo: queremos poder elegir.

Queremos que el formato físico siga siendo una opción para quienes amamos coleccionar, conservar y compartir nuestra pasión por los videojuegos.

Cada firma demuestra que todavía somos millones los jugadores que creemos que un videojuego es mucho más que un archivo descargado.

Today, they are not just taking away a disc.

We all remember the excitement of walking into a store, picking up the game we had been waiting months for, rushing home, opening the case for the very first time, admiring the cover art, holding the disc in our hands, and knowing it was finally ours.

That wasn't just buying a video game.
