We urge local officials to reject any consideration of data centers in Athens County, especially across from Athens High School. While data centers offer a small number of mostly temporary jobs, they also deplete our resources​ , raise our bills​, and poison our air. 

Data Centers are clearly not in the best interest of Athens County or its citizens. Our leadership should prioritize economic growth that honors our strengths, supports local businesses, and preserves the vital resources of the region. We should not have to fight our own government to protect our environment and children.
