The beauty of the New River Valley is worth fighting for. I know it's a lot of information, but please take a moment to read the whole update, as this will give you next steps on coming out to help fight Data Centers.

A new group formed recently to focus on it's preservation. Following the first meeting of the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors, a small group of people came together to focus on ways to help preserve the NRV, and from that the New River Valley Preservation Coalition! If you're looking to join, you can go to their Facebook page: New River Valley Preservation Coalition And the next meet up is on Saturday May 23rd at 2pm at Heritage Park in Pulaski, VA. This is a great time to meet others who are looking to stop data centers from encroaching on the area, along with other initiatives to keep the NRV beautiful.

Pulaski County BoS meetings are important to attend when you can to show them that this isn't a small group. While normally the BoS meetings happen the 4th Monday of every month, Memorial Day falls on the 4th Monday on the 2026 May calendar, which means this meeting was moved to Monday 5/18(today) at 7pm at 143 Third Street N.W., in the town of Pulaski, Virginia. If you're unable to attend, The Patriot  usually live steams from their Facebook page, so you can watch it in real time.

And lately, The Peoples Paper, Pulaski VA has been uploading videos afterwards with captions; as well as, letters to the BoS on other items aside from Data Centers, such as the proposed increase in Property Taxes by the board.

The next Pulaski County VA Board of Supervisors meeting should take place on June 22nd, if you're unable to attend tonight, we hope you'll be able to in the future.

The next Virginia's First Regional Industrial Facility Authority will be held on Wednesday June 10th, from 12pm-2pm at 6580 Valley Center Drive, Fairlawn, VA 24141. This is who would be hosting a Data Center if approved by the VFRIFA and by proxy, Pulaski County BoS.

If you live in the following areas, this is for you as well:
- Bland County
- Craig County
- Giles County
- Montgomery County
- Pulaski County
- Roanoke County
- City of Radford
- City of Roanoke
- Town of Dublin
- Town of Pearisburg
- Town of Pulaski

If you can get out to these meetings, please do, the more that show up, the more they'll realize that there's opposition to this happening here.

Get involved, speak up, and show them that we don't want a Data Center ruining our quality of life. Water is vital, clean air is precious, and our wallets can't take any more. We hope to see you out here and thank you for signing the petition. Please keep sharing it with people and let's keep up the good fight!
