NO CONFIDENCE VOTE IN SUPERINTENDENT TED KNIGHT
The Issue
Last year a Title IV investigation headed by Jon Lyons revealed systematic failures in dealing with sexual harassment by the district run by CUSD superintendent Ted Knight. Ted immediately began gunning for principal Lyons and is pushing him out because he called him out. After the investigation found wrongdoing, they moved this employee to the ELEMENTARY school without even the elementary school principal's knowledge. When the victim of harassment brought the report to a CHS teacher, he gave it to the media and the whole thing exploded. But what happened next, that you are not getting in the media, is telling. Ted Knight made the CUSD board call a meeting without proper notice, put Lyons on extended leave, then went around terrorizing staff to shut up about everything. He is currently after the teacher that leaked the report and illegally interviewing students WITHOUT parent permission!

TED KNIGHT HAS TO GO. ATTEND THE CUSD BOARD MEETING 2/15 at CARMEL MIDDLE SCHOOL 5:30 and DEMAND THE BOARD END HIS CONTRACT. We deserve better.
CHS Principal Jon Lyons is being pushed out by CUSD superintendent for no valid reason. Principal Lyons needs your support. He moved his family to this community to become our principal and stay here for the next 10 years while his kids grow up. He has children in the Carmel school district that want to graduate from Carmel High. He attends every sporting event and really cares about our kids. Principal Lyons is truly part of our community. He does not deserve what is happening to him and we need your help to stop it!
In contrast, the CUSD superintendent that is trying to push him out for no valid reason merely rents an apartment and HIS family actually lives in Colorado! This superintendent has packed CUSD administration with 2.5 million in hires from outside the community to do his bidding and change our district for the worst. The CUSD school board needs to know from you that district failures will not be blamed on anyone but the district. The CUSD board needs to change their decision that is harming Principal Lyons for no valid reason. CUSD board needs to know that this type of destructive leadership by CUSD superintendent is not welcome!
