No Confidence in the Trustees of ST MARY AND ST ABRAAM COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH

No Confidence in the Trustees of ST MARY AND ST ABRAAM COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH
The Issue
Our beloved Coptic church in Brighton has been under the same trustees leadership for 22 years. After careful consideration and discussion among concerned members of our congregation, it has become evident that the current trustees no longer possess the trust and confidence of the church community.
The current Coptic church trustees have demonstrated behaviour and actions that are inconsistent with the values and principles upheld by our church. These concerns have led to the loss of confidence, such as financial mismanagement, lack of transparency, conflicts of interest, etc.
As members of the congregation, we believe it is our responsibility to uphold the integrity and reputation of our Coptic church in Brighton, UK. The actions of ST MARY AND ST ABRAAM COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH trustees have eroded trust and confidence among the members, and we fear that continued leadership under the same trustees will only further damage the unity and harmony within our church community.
Therefore, we, the undersigned members of ST MARY AND ST ABRAAM COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH, hereby petition for a vote of no confidence in the current trustees and call for their immediate removal from the position of trustee. We urge the charity commission to take prompt and decisive action in addressing this matter and restoring trust and accountability within our congregation.
We propose implementing regular elections every three years to ensure fair representation and democratic decision-making within our religious community. This will allow younger members to step up and lead, bringing fresh ideas while preserving our cherished traditions.
Let's stand together for fairness and freedom within our religious institutions. Sign this petition if you believe in democratic leadership within our Coptic Church community.
