• No representatives from the cell phone company were present to explain tower specifics (carrier, location, size, coverage, why the choice of this particular location, etc.).
• There were several council members in attendance, but they had little information. City council really wants to know what the residents feel and kept encouraging us to fill out the Resident Survey either in person or the link www.chandleraz.gov/CellTower If they feel that the residents are not receptive, they will recommend the company look elsewhere.
• FILL OUT THE SURVEY. IT CLOSES FEBRUARY 18, 2026.
• One council member sited the main concern is no reception in certain areas. However I pulled a photo showing existing towers. 69 towers and 58 antennas within a 3.0 mile radius of Veteran's Oasis Park. In general towers carry 1-5 miles of signal, barring obstacles such as high rises (we don't have those_. Also there is a police substation there since 2008 and I believe they are able to get their calls.
• Also, wondering what residents received the notification postcards.  Was it just residents that abutted Veteran's Oasis?
