We request the Washtenaw County Material Management Planning Committee (MMP) and Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners, permanently exclude from the County's Material Management Plan (MMP), siting of an anaerobic bio-digester in Freedom Township due to substantial threats to township residents' health, safety and well-being.  It acknowledges Freedom Township's existing disproportionate burden from federal and state policies related to pipelines and gravel mines. The siting exemption is consistent with the MMP goals in Michigan's Public Act 250 which include preventing adverse effects on the public's health, safety or welfare.
