This is just a reminder residents who want to give feedback about the proposed resource-based park at Canyon Hills Open Space to attend the Mira Mesa Recreation Council (MMRC) meeting on September 13 @ 7:00pm, Lopez Ridge Recreation Center, 7245 Calle Cristobal. If you would like to give feedback about this proposal, the September 13 meeting may be the only place for you to do that. Residents of Woodcrest Hills may be especially interested in attending this meeting, as Canyon Hills Open Space is our "backyard" and there is already trail access to the area from Branicole, Hito, Chabola, Babuata, Mendiola, and Meagean--all of the streets in our community! There is a strong possibility that making Canyon Hills Open Space into a resource-based park (and promoting that idea on a city-wide level) will increase both foot and car traffic (as well as trash, noise, possibility for vandalism and crime) in our community. I urge all of you to attend the September 13 MMRC meeting to express your opinions regarding this proposal! Thanks again for your support.
