The proposal for a data center near Grand Tower and Dix among many others has raised significant concerns among the local residents, who are deeply opposed to this development due to its potential detrimental impact on the community and environment.  The problem with AI data centers is that they are built for profit and therefore will harm both local nature and humanity. Technology of this scale must be rationally planned, sustainable, and publicly owned. We need to protect the Mississippi, the flora and fauna, and our homes- most especially CLEAN DRINKING WATER. This money would be better spent elsewhere! EVERY SIGNATORY ON THIS PETITION PLEDGES TO REMOVE EVERY ELECTED OR APPOINTED OFFICIAL WHO APPROVES THESE CONSTRUCTIONS, WHETHER DEMOCRATICALLY AND/OR BY LEGAL/BYLAW PROCESS.
