NJSO recently added indoor bottle rocket to the list of trial events that are being run at the state competition. This event not only takes a lot of time to do well, but it also is a complicated build that can not be done in a matter of three weeks.

"Wow I'm speechless. You simply cannot build a build that quickly and expect to get good results. Also usually trial events in NJ are because someone needed to quickly get an event together. It is not easy to simply "get" a build event together." -Jeff Xie, (Columbia University, 2019)

NJSO, please either replace this event or do not make trial events count at states. It's simply ridiculous to expect to have a build event finished in so little time. It is simply an insult to those teams who work hard and are thrown another event so close to this important competition.
