Allow New Jersey high school baseball to be played through the Summer

0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!

The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought all of our lives to a halt, Seniors in high school could be missing the most memorable parts of their Senior year, graduation, spring sports, prom, and the last time we might see a lot of our classmates before we all go our separate ways. As of right now, there's absolutely nothing to look forward to, but signing this petition could help change that.

The 2020 Spring season is most likely going to be cut short if schools close for the remainder of the year. This is the last year of baseball that most Seniors will be able to play, and for all the last year they will represent their town, their school, and be able to play with the teammates they've grown up with. Football programs are able to practice in the summer months, weeks before anyone begins to even think about school, so why shouldn't baseball be able to do the same? Signing this petition gives us all hope for something better, we are going to rise above this, but we need to be able to return to normalcy once things start to clear up.

To those reading this that aren't in high school, or don't play a Spring sport, please understand that it's more than just baseball. It's a sense of normality. Step into our shoes, the sport we love, the sport that we spent all offseason preparing for, can be stripped away from us in just a single moment. My goal is to get this petition out there with as many signatures as possible before that decision is made.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, stay safe.
