Poaching has caused tens of thousands of elephants to be killed each year for their ivory tusks, 400 African rhinos are poached each year for their horns as a sign of wealth, and 220-450 snow leopards are poached each year for their fur and bones for rugs and coats.  These poached items are sold on the black market illegally. In Tanzania alone, poachers kill 30 elephants a day. Poaching happens everywhere, but one of the biggest places that poaching happens is in Africa. The reason poaching hasn't been able to be stopped and is such a big problem is because their is a lack in sufficent enforcenment officers, corruption among the enforcement community, real danger from armed forces, and a well organized and well funded criminal network behind the poachers. Just a dollar can help save these poor wild animals lives, they don't deserve to be killed just for parts of their body. If we don't take action now we can risk these animals going extinct. Some animals that are going to be extinct soon due to poaching are african elephants, amur leopard, black rhino, green turtle, hawksbill turtle, and so much more. A way you can help us stop poaching is by donating money so we can donate it to the wildlife facility's to help get more officers in africa to keep the animals safe.
