Disposable plastic bags are everywhere in New Jersey – littering our streets and ending up in our waterways, all because our lawmakers aren’t willing to stand up to the plastics industry.

In cities where people are discouraged from taking plastic bags at the check-out counter where they shop, distribution of bags dropped by more than half - and littering is way down, which means fewer bags in our waterways.
