Make Nissan extend the manufacturer warranty for their defective CVT transmissions.

The Issue

NISSAN SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND EXTEND THE WARRANTY FOR THEIR DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS.

Around the web are several unattended complaints about the issues with the Nissan CVT transmission, all these customers are being ignored and keep paying for a car that is parked in the garage.

The numerous claims on the CVT transmission problems should be attended by Nissan Corporation and extend the warranty to more than 60.000 miles.

I own a Nissan Rogue for less than 5 years, the transmission is not working and Nissan denied help to fix the problem because I did not do the service in one of their dealerships when the federal law says "You don’t have to use the dealer for repairs or maintenance to keep your warranty in effect. In fact, it’s illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage simply because you had routine maintenance or repairs done by someone else. That said, the dealer or manufacturer can make you use select repair facilities if the work is done for free under the warranty."
