Release "Devil World" to Virtual Console in the U.S.

The Issue

Devil World was one of the first games developed by Nintendo icon Shigeru Miyamoto, developed for the Famicom in Japan and NES in Europe, but never in America. The reason it was never released in America was because Nintendo of America has a strict policy for religious icons, such as the cross or bible. Both the cross and the bible appeared in Devil World which explained why it was never released in America. However, those items somehow bypass the policy in America when those items appeared in the first two Zelda games. In the first Zelda game, an item that looked like the bible appeared, but instead of being named Bible like it did in Japan, the name was changed to Book of Magic. In addition, Link's shield has a cross on it, too. In its sequel, The Adventure of Link, the Cross appeared as an item which makes invisible enemies visible. Nintendo of America has that policy and yet those two games were released in America anyway despite the bible and cross existed within the games. I don't know why Nintendo of America has a strict policy on religious icons, but I think they should reconsider and release the game in America. I mean who cares if the games has religious icons in it or not. Microsoft and Sony has games that has religious icons in it. Other games that haven't been released to the NES in America are already released on Virtual Console for America, that includes the original version of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, and The Mysterious Murasame Castle. They need to release the game so that we can enjoy playing it.
