Fans of Splatoon, like myself, have had trouble getting their hands on amiibo for Callie and Marie since Nintendo does not re-release or make more of them. They were the famous iconic duo of the Wii U title and who go by the name of "Squid Sisters" and their catchy jingle, Calamari Inkantation, has served as the epic final boss music for both games' story modes.

However, when it comes to the Squid Sisters in Splatoon 2, they may have taken a backseat to Pearl and Marina, the "Off the Hook" duo, both in terms of Splatfest hosts and as obtainable amiibo. With the release of the update to Splatoon 2 that brought about Callie to the hub world of Octo Canyon with Callie, I say the Squid Sisters need a second chance to shine. As of now, the only amiibo that exist are their Splatoon 1 versions that you can only take pictures with when they could let you play music from their Japanese concert on the Wii U version. But as it stands, they cost TOO MUCH with singles of each squid girl going for almost $50 (regardless of USA or Japan origin).

While the Pearl and Marina amiibo do give you outfit pieces and let you take pictures of them in their clothes from the Octo Expansion, I believe Nintendo should make a new set of Callie and Marie amiibo for Splatoon 2 and, while maybe not feature the musical listening option, allow us to snap pics of Callie and Marie in their outfits from Splatoon 2, seeing them as not the iconic "Squid Sisters" but as just regular Inklings living their day-to-day lives.
