Almost 14 years ago Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga was released. The interesting plot, quirky characters, and the staple battle system that the series still uses to this very day! Superstar Saga received universal critical acclaim and a 90/100 score on Metacritic. 

Now in my opinion, after playing it on Wii U virtual console, I think this game needs a Wii U, Switch or 3ds remake with 3d models, unused items, new gear and a few extra features. Me and a few friends considered it as some sort of side project as we are game devs ourselves but it would be better in many ways to let Nintendo work their magic.
