As you may know, creator of SpongeBob SquarePants,Stephen Hillenburg died from cancer. After leaving the show to work on other projects, he still was happy to return to the series and help produce the second film despite his illness. As a tribute to all Hillenburg’s contributions, fans clamored for the song from classic episode Band Geeks, Sweet Victory, to be played at the Super Bowl. However, what we got was a massive disappointment by only using a short clip as an intro for Travis Scott. In order to truly pay respects to Stephen Hillenburg, I believe having SpongeBob as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be a great way to go. I have already started preparing a move list and he could actually be well-suited for the game. He could have a lot of potential from using some moves from games like Battle for Bikini Bottom, as well as numerous references to the series. For the late Stephen Hillenburg, as well as fans everywhere, this would truly be awesome if he made it in. If characters like Piranha Plant and R.O.B can make it in, then almost anything is possible.
