Grant Kirkhope is widely considered one of the greatest video game composers of all time with an incredible and diverse portfolio such as Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, Kingdoms Of Amalur and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. He has stated that he would love to compose for the new Super Mario film due for release in 2022 and is lobbying for that opportunity.

He has worked on a few indie films before and has done both melodic and cinematic scores for various games, he is also the only western composer to work directly with Nintendo specifically for Mario and Smash Bros
