If you've played Super Smash Bros Ultimate for any amount of time you will come to the surprising conclusion that both Simon and Richter Belmont do not have any underarm hair. Now you may be asking, "Why is this an issue?", well here's exactly why. The Castlevania game series takes place around 1670 in Transylvania, Romania. This was a time of war and rebuilding in Romania that was filled with war and conquest. There was not a lot of philosophical thinking and inventions coming out of Romania. The idea of shaving has been around since 3000 BC but men never did fine shaving jobs until 1901 when razors were first marketed to the public. It would be absolutely impossible for the Belmonts' to shave their underarm hair because they would not have access to a razor and even if they did have any access to a razor, why would they commit to shaving their underarm hair? It is clinically proven that having the appearance of shaven underarm hair makes men look far more feminine than they actually look. You may look at other characters with shaved underarm hair like Little Mac and ask "Hey, Little Mac doesn't have underarm hair, why isn't this an issue?" It is a very simple answer: Little Mac is a boxer and is encouraged to shave all parts of his body as it makes boxing far easier. Punch Out! also takes place in modern-day. With all of the evidence stated above it is more than reasonable for Nintendo to add underarm hair to the models of both Simon and Richter Belmont in Smash Ultimate.
