Hello fellow supporters, I have received several complaints in regard to why my petition is for Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water being physically exclusive to GameStop just like how Xenoblade Chronicles was. I am here to answer that question. The simple answer: Extra incentive. The detailed answer: The reason Nintendo is releasing Fatal Frame as an eShop exclusive is because they have doubts about the sales of the game, just like they did with Xenoblade. For them to release Xenoblade in America, it took NoE to localize it and GameStop to propose the deal where GameStop co-pays the fees for the prints, and GameStop selling the game exclusively. (You would have thought they would have learned from Xenoblade). I don't think NoA will budge if they have to pay the fees alone, which is why I am petitioning both Nintendo and GameStop. If GameStop comes in and proposes to help NoA with the fees in turn for exclusivity, I doubt NoA will refuse. Even though it isn't the ideal situation, we have to understand that this is our best shot. GameStop is more likely to respond to an online petition than NoA will. Even though I would prefer a normal release, it isn't practical in NoA's eyes. It is also possible that GameStop could see this and work with NoA and give us the Limited edition version.
