Although I have never played it, AM2R was one of the best fan games of Metroid to be released on Metroid's 30th anniversary. From the videos that I saw, it captured everything that made Metroid the legendary game that it is today and is a love letter to the game's lore and to fans. Everything that you remember in Metroid and loved about it, it was in that game.

However, when Nintendo found out about it, the company ordered a take down of AM2R and the game vanished. It was quite a shame since that fan game is a better Metroid game than some of the games in the series. (Team Ninja, we're looking at you!) After the latest installment, I can't help but notice that a lot of players who played through the game remember what made Metroid great and that's what was missing in the lore now. Needless to say, AM2R captured those moments vividly.

With that being said, I proposed one of two solutions:

1) Bring back AM2R to enjoy what players love about Metroid, or

2) Hire the creators of AM2R to create the next best Metroid game, because they love Metroid and would do anything to bring that special feeling back to the franchiase.

Eithier way, you will make a lot of people happy. Consider the best choice and proceed right away! You'll be glad you did.
