Create a Nintendo Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

In the current climate of media remakes and modern reboots, and in light of Nintendo's remake of Link's Awakening, and given the modern capabilities of gaming technology, the Zelda fan community demands a quality remake of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link that will repair the damage done to the reputation of this beloved franchise.

Shigeru Miyamoto himself has gone on record saying the technological capabilities available during Zelda II's development prevented his team from realizing the full potential of Adventure of Link. It was developed for the Famicom Disk System and simply could not create the world Miyamoto had in mind. Paired with questionable translations, the resulting product has received contempt from Zelda fans who lack the imagination to see what this game could have been.

Disillusioned fans ignore the smooth gameplay and slick platforming, the epic dungeon environments, the amazing soundtrack, choosing instead to focus on this game's rough edges.

I believe--and I hope I'm not alone--that Nintendo is capable today of delivering on Shigeru Miyamoto's promise of a sprawling, open-world adventure that can pair the engrossing action of the 1987 release, with the gorgeous, polished graphics the Nintendo Switch is capable of rendering.

A Zelda II remake could reverse the reputation of the most interesting game in the franchise. (And Majora's Mask can officially be the crappiest one.)
