What a monumental day!

I’m so happy to say that I got to see and experience the brand new Carers Café at Great Western Hospital, a space created specifically for carers.

Carers can now access a free hot drink, connect with other carers, and have a dedicated area to rest and recharge while supporting their person - whether that’s during the day or even overnight. That kind of recognition and practical support makes such a difference.

Not long ago, carers weren’t even properly allowed to accompany their patient during hospital visits. To now see #ninaslaw in action, and the hospital going above and beyond to introduce initiatives like this, is an incredibly proud moment for me.

Thank you, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for leading the way.

Now we need every hospital across the UK to follow suit. 💙
