More road signage to protect wildlife in Hurstbridge!

The issue

Hurstbridge is home to a wide variety of wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies, wombats, ducks and more. The community have raised concerns about the number of such animals found dead on the roads. Some of these incidents are unavoidable but many could be prevented if drivers slowed down and were reminded to watch out for wildlife with appropriate signage. Recently, a number of ducks have been run over by careless, speeding drivers and it is heartbreaking. Community members have agreed that the installation of more duck/wildlife signage on our roads may help prevent some of these awful incidents by reminding people to slow down and be more watchful. The people of Hurstbridge value our wildlife and want to see it protected.
