It is important because so many pets are being taken away from simple mistakes that could prevent an animal from passing away, I have heard horror stories about how someone would hit an animal leave it lay there and suffer before it passes away hours later, this could be prevented if someone would use there head and heart and stop to see if the animal is ok contact law enforcement even knock on a neighbors door to see who the pet belongs to. I feel it falls in the category of a hit and run. You leave the scene of an accident it is a crime. People complain about people who purposly run over cats because they hate them etc. Well I lost my best friend last night and I wont stop until we have justice for ALL of our pets, We started keeping animals as pets decades and decades ago now its time to protect them!
