Nike SNKRS Pass Available in more Major Cities

Nike SNKRS Pass Available in more Major Cities
The Issue
Hi, my name is Haaris Baig. I am a normal 13 year old from Minneapolis, MN who has a hobby of collecting limited release shoes and sneakers. This petition is about an issue that millions of other people like me have to deal with whenever we want to buy a Nike sneaker.
When a sneaker is announced through the Nike SNKRS app, it has a set date and time for its release or "drop." Almost every time there is a highly anticipated sneaker release, immediately after the shoe drops, sneaker resellers who set up automated computer bots sweep up the shoe in under a few seconds, and the shoe sells out almost instantly. These bot users are purchasing the shoe for reselling only. This leaves the drop ruined for us collectors who tried to buy the shoe manually but failed. Our only choice would be to purchase the shoes from the botters at a much higher price. This situation is something that every sneaker hobbyist experiences and ruins the hobby for us all.
Nike SNKRS Pass is a feature introduced by Nike to allow collectors and people without bots to get the shoes. A few days before a release people in select cities get to reserve a pair to buy in person at a Nike store. This allows real people to get the shoes in person without having to battle resellers that use computer bots. The cities that Nike SNKRS Pass is used in include the likes of Chicago, LA, NYC and a few more very popular cities. While Nike SNKRS Pass is a great way to help people beat bots to get a shoe, there is still a problem.
The problem is that there are sneaker hobbyists all over the country that cannot utilize this feature because they live in other states. There are many large cities with large surrounding suburbs that would kill for the opportunity to buy these limited sneakers in person, yet they are forced to try for the online drops where they most likely lose. By signing this petition, you are ensuring that everyone will have a chance at getting the sneakers they want and beating the bots.
