The Zoom Soldier 8 FlyEase was featured in several news articles (the Huffington Post being one) showing that this shoe has new technology to help those with disabilities be independent. However, the price at launch is at a staggering $130.00 USD and only Men's sizing (7-18) is available. There is no women's, children's or toddler sizing nor is wide width offered. 

Having spoken with a Sales Representative over the phone prior to launch this morning, I learned of the lack of sizing as well as the other above mentioned issues. She also was kind enough to explain the reasoning behind the "limited quantities" or rather "limited time release". It is to gauge public interest in the product. However, this may not reflect the proper numbers due to the fact that it is tied to the Basketball star LeBron James' product line as it could become a Collector's Item. I was also informed by the representative that the other sizing comes out later depending on interest of the product or it is exclusive to one line/size/gender.

I want to thank you for making these shoes and using the idea made from another in the disabled community into a reality. This is something that I myself have wished for so I can not have to ask for help placing on shoes due to having CP...

However, This price is not affordable to those with disabilities nor their families because of the limited incomes they are faced with. Families struggle with various medical bills and equipment costs that insurance may not cover at all or in full. So, these shoes would fall under not insurance covered and the price would be well out of their reach. I would also like you to know that wider widths help those with AFO braces place on shoes.  The lack of various sizing also hinders the ability to have these for those in those sizes. As you may already know those with Cerebral Palsy, TBI, MS and those effected by similar issues can highly benefit from these wider widths and size variations due to the issues those medical conditions hold. But, also if you could offer the shoes to be ordered in different sizes for each foot, that would be helpful as well since some in the community has a foot much smaller than the other or much wider than the other foot. For instance... a person could have the right foot as a size 3 in kids, but a size 6 in adult for the left foot. Buying two different pairs of shoes is costly for these families, with this hurdle.

We the undersigned implore you to not just consider the sales at the time of launch to make the Zoom Soldier 8 FlyEase. We ask you to consider the voices of the undersigned to make this a permanent product at an affordable price, toddler, children's and women's sizes and wider widths. As well as offer this shoe in different sizes for different feet when ordering.
