As e-commerce grows in popularity, more stores go out of business and close. This is a trend called the retail apocalypse which is the closing of a lot of retail stores because of bankruptcy or e-commerce rising in popularity. According to the Wikipedia article “Retail apocalypse” it said that Nike was planning to “close” a ton of stores to shift towards e-commerce.
