In 2015 I ran my 5th Nike Women's Marathon (half) and it was so very sad to hear the race would not continue the following year.  It was a race that launched in 2004 and raised millions of dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and gave thousands upon thousands of women a chance to grab their running girlfriends and have the ultimate "racecation" in San Francisco, California! Complete with Nike Swag, a spectacular running course, and Tiffany & Co. necklaces as finisher medals...handed to you in a little blue box by San Francisco's finest firemen wearing tuxedos...aka the icing on the cake! 

It's so sad. We miss you, Nike Women's Marathon.
