Recently it’s come to our attention that the deal between Nike and the Kobe Bryant estate has expired. As it stands now NIKE will no longer be producing Kobe Bryant sneakers. From what we understand there’s been a major disconnect between Vanessa Bryant / the Kobe Bryant estate and executives at Nike to sign a longer-term deal that would allow more of Kobe‘s supporters to enjoy the shoes that he’s made so legendary. In light of recent events I find it necessary to voice our dissatisfaction with the fact that a deal could not be agreed upon. Vanessa was quoted as saying, “My hope will always be to allow Kobe's fans to get and wear his products. I will continue to fight for that. Kobe's products sell out in seconds. That says everything.

"I was hoping to forge a lifelong partnership with Nike that reflects my husband's legacy. We will always do everything we can to honor Kobe and Gigi's legacies. That will never change."

It was speculated that Vanessa was dissatisfied with the lack of availability for Kobe’s products as well as the lack of compensation offered compared to Jordan and LeBron. 

We are fully supportive of Vanessa Bryant and the estate’s wishes. It is absolutely ridiculous that Nike could not find a way to extend the contract. Kobe sneakers are the premier choice of athletes on every level of competition. This petition represents our dissatisfaction with Nike. We urge you to sign the petition and let Nike know that we need the Nike Kobe contract extended immediately. Please join the movement and honor the late great Kobe “Bean” Bryant.
