Dear home secretary

I have drawn up a petion to support the ending of  open licence issued for the killing of the British Bird (scopolax rusticola )Woodcock ...

The reason being that there is no logical or scientific reason to do so  as confirmed by the Wildlife and countryside act 1981 its legality offers no reason as to why a licence would granted for its destruction ..However the other British wild birds  that the law allows to kill under licence come with a list of reasons  including agricultural damage , conservation and pest control etc . The woodcocks biology and behaviour is self evident  in that it can not be a perpetrator of these crimes against national interests  that is  why it is not included or grouped with game birds or birds associated with wildfowling...there is no governmental  reason why this bird is shot  the only official reason given by the GAME AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION TRUST   is ' excitement and interest .....

As you can see Home secretary this law needs your immediate attention  and respectfully expect this to be carried out tomorrow if your not too busy
