Revoke the right for teachers to search students

Revoke the right for teachers to search students

The Issue

Under the education act of 2011 teachers have the right to search personal property , phones and person without a warrant or consent. This is a breach of personal privacy and students rights.

Fellow pupils and I along with parents see this as a direct breach of students rights , personal privacy and the data protection act of 1998.  The situation does not apply to those outside of higher or lower education , students should retain the same rights as every other person. Their privacy must be respected. Therefore I am requesting signatures in order to contact David Cameron and Nicky Morgan in order to get them to modify and lessen the laws and give students their rights back.
