Michael Gove MP decided enough was enough when he created the resit policy, yet he is probably the biggest hypocrite ever, he re-sat his practical driving test numerous times before eventually passing it, yet he is putting a cap on our education. I completely disagree with the Resit Policy, I feel that GCSE students should be able to get a fair shot at their maths and English GCSE's by giving them extra chances at them both, and this will also give colleges and sixth forms a heads' up so that they know they have already passed their Maths and English. I feel that the November, January and March series of GCSE Maths exams should be reintroduced, and schools should get to pick and choose what time they want their students to sit the exams, resits should also be included back onto the School League Tables, but I feel that we shouldn't give schools over the amount of resits each student gets, resits should most definitely be capped, but not to a point where it is still unfair, I also think that bringing back these series' for exams will also help the students and teachers by lifting a weight off of their shoulders because the students' can concentrate on their other endeavours, and practice/revise for their other subjects.

For AS/A-Level, I also feel the change is absurd as some of these A-Levels are very reliant on exams, and some of them have no coursework element either, I feel that scrapping the January series for A-Level is the worst hit, especially to students studying 4+ subjects.The January series should definitely be reinforced so that students can check their progress, and teachers can monitor their progress much more efficiently. This will also give the students more freedom as they can pursue a part-time job etc. I think doing this will give them a head start for university and future life as this will give them more independence, as they can build up their CV more, and be a brighter future generation for this country.
