Hello, my name is Domenic Giangiulio. I am 15 years old, and I grew up watching Spongebob. I supported the show to hell during its 2001-2004 run. I loved the movie, and always did what I could as a young child to support the show.

After the movie, I had no idea that the show was supposed to be canned. If I knew that at the time, it would have sounded like an awful idea. But then the co-creator Paul Tibbit stepped in and took charge of the show. Now I will admit, I seriously do not like any of the newer episodes. I mean there are a nice dozen or so that are decent, but the rest really suck. I tried and tried to give the new series a chance. I really have. But whoever writes for the show now does everything wrong.

Spongebob and Patrick act WAY out of character anymore, Squidward is more of a unlikable hypocrite, Mr. Krabs is well, Mr. Krabs but crammed into crappy plots and unfunny situations, Sandy is all of a sudden a GENIUS, which leaves for many awful ideas. I just don't like what these new writers did with the show. It lost the comedy that kept me coming back for more, it lost the good storytelling/plots that I remember growing up with, I basically lost the show I remember loving as a child. Even as a 6-7 year old kid, I knew these episodes were pretty bad. So I basically moved on, any way I could. 

I'm sure there are plenty of people who will agree, that these new episodes are really just bad. So I am making this petition, with hopes that the show will eventually be cancelled soon, instead of just being a cash-cow.

OR if you really can't cancel Spongebob and cherish the money being made off of it, I hope that the petition will AT LEAST help bring back many of the old writers from Seasons 1-3. Also, we request that you fire many of the new writers if you can get the old ones back, and take away Vincent Waller's spot as creative director, since he's supposably part of the blame why the New Spongebob sucks, and try bringing back Derek Drymon for that role. 

Spongebob was my favorite show growing up. Please Nick, for the love of god and your fans, either cancell this or bring it back to its roots. It really hurts seeing this show just get worse and worse every year. I'd hate to see it go on for 20+ years like The Simpsons, and gradually just get worse with no cure. Hell, I'd even go as far as to say the New Simpsons episodes are even better than the new Spongebob eps, which is just sad.

Again, please Nick. Either Cancel this show, or bring it back to its roots.
