I'm writing this petition to urge Nickelodeon to continue production of "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan":

As you may or may not know, I have learned from someone's Twitter feed that two years ago, apparently NHKL had been abruptly cancelled at the end of its current season in order to pay for a lawsuit filed by Caitlin Sanchez, who was then the new voice of one of Nickelodeon's other icons, Dora the Explorer, for not getting paid fairly for that said role. (NOTE: it's already been settled last December)

I feel that that was a wrong decision to begin with, because, for one thing, nobody has to sacrifice service to save money. Besides, NHKL has been highly instrumental in introducing us to Chinese culture and language, as well as teaching kids everywhere its fair share of life lessons. And in the process, it's spurred an immense community of fans here and abroad. It's changed my life greatly—not to mention others'.

So whether it be for the Chinese language, life lessons, or just for the fun of it, if ever there was a time to come to the aid of a good show that got the axe to spite another, that time is now. I urge you to join with others who care and sign this petition in order to keep "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan" going strong. Together, we'll make Kai-Lan's heart feel more super happy than it's ever been!
